Hi! I'm Emily, and I am a photographer in the Metro Detroit area. Photography has been a long time hobby of mine. I started off in high school with a 35mm hand-me-down film camera my dad had purchased the year I was born. I still have that camera, and it still works! I took black and white photography classes, developed film by hand, and worked in a dark room almost daily for all four years of high school. From there I went on to nursing school and quickly found that I had limited time for photography. After finishing college in 2008 and becoming a registered nurse, I was finally able to take time for my hobbies again. Years later, here I am living my dream of having my own photography business.
I work as a neonatal intensive care nurse, so it only makes sense that my passion is newborn photography. I also have a passion for animals, and look forward to meeting your furry friends. I also enjoy maternity, family, senior, and engagement photos. I enjoy shooting both lifestyle (candid) and posed photos. I have also done a lot of nature, architecture, and travel photography. I had work exhibited at College for Creative Studies in 2003, where I received a Silver Key award for photographic arts. And currently, I have three pieces exhibited at Anton Art Center in Madison Heights. My other hobbies include gardening, running, softball, and reading. I have a husband, cats, and a dog at home who I love dearly.
I am looking forward to meeting new families and helping them to capture the greatest moments in life!
